Vortex Juniper Utah is an original oil pastel drawing on 7 × 5 inch watercolor paper — a twisting juniper tree stands at the center, its roots reaching deep into the earth while its branches reach upward through layers of green, yellow and orange that reflect the desert light of Utah. One of a kind, this is the exact piece in the photos.

What this piece is

An original oil pastel drawing on 7 × 5 inch watercolor paper. A twisting juniper tree stands at the center, its roots reaching deep into the earth while its branches reach upward, growing through layers of green, yellow and orange that reflect the desert light of Utah. I painted this piece from the feeling of standing beside an old juniper, noticing its strength, its stillness and the way it holds the memory of wind, weather and time in its shape.

What it carries

I am a natural channeler, and I create my original art in a channeling state. To me, the twisting juniper is a symbol of strength, patience, stability and inner transformation. Juniper trees grow slowly, carry a sense of endurance, and invite us to slow down and listen inwardly. They can also carry a deeper message about the way life keeps moving through us, helping us grow, participate in our communities, and letting those changes extend into the collective. This piece holds that connection between spiritual movement and a strong earthly center.

Who this piece is for

For someone who loves juniper trees and the landscapes of Utah — or anyone who wants a personal focal point for reflection, meditation and self-discovery.

Where it belongs

In a reading corner, a meditation space, or above a desk — anywhere its twisted trunk and desert light can remind you to slow down and listen inwardly.

Framing & care

Pastel fixative has been applied, but oil pastel can still smudge. Avoid touching or rubbing the painted surface. Frame behind glass with a mat or spacers to keep the artwork from touching the glass. Display away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
